Investigating CTA in triple negative breast cancers as potential therapeutic target; 50 banked triple negative tumors; 2 new cell lines developed – initial data under analysis.

Review of literature for diagnosis and treatment of periductal mastitis/mammary fistula.

Role of HPV in breast cancer:

Testing developed cell lines for HPV
Testing HPV in breast milk from lactating mothers
Evaluation of volatile biomarkers in novel bio-specimens for prevention and diagnostics

Site PI; South Plains Oncology Consortium (SPOC) Tissue Banking. The major goal of this project is to build a cancer tissue repository for translational work. Site PI is responsible for the tissue banking efforts in Texas Panhandle. 2009 - Current

PI; Endowment for Excellence in Women’s Health; ASCO. The major goal of this endowment is to protect time for women’s health research including site PI for Alliance, SWOG, and investigator initiated trials. We have participated in ACOSOG Z-1071 trial, and SWOG vitamin D trial. Currently, Alliance Z11102, and A011202are open addressing the role of breast conservation in multi-centric disease, and axillary dissection respectively. 2010 - Current.
