To take care of others, start by taking care of yourself.

It can be difficult to prioritize self-care when you are busy learning to care for others, but unexamined emotions may lead to burnout, mental distress, compassion fatigue and even poor clinical decisions, which can adversely affect patient care and ultimately your mental health overall.

At TTUHSC, we care about you not only as students, but as people. Your health is our priority, and we’ve partnered with Therapy Assistance Online (TAO) which allows you to get effective treatment when your schedule or life makes it hard to get to the counseling center.
