Graduate Programs
The Master of Science in Nursing Geriatric Nurse Practitioner Program prepares graduates to assume the role of a healthcare provider dedicated to improving the health of the elderly. Geriatric Nurse Practitioners serve the elderly and their families in an extensive range of practice settings. The services of Geriatric Nurse Practitioners focus on health maintenance and disease processes that are specific to the elderly.
A Post-Masters Geriatric Nurse Practitioner Certificate is also available to those who currently hold a Master of Science in Nursing and wish to assume a specialized role in the health care of the elderly.
Upon completion of course requirements, graduates of the Masters and Post Masters Programs are eligible to sit for the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Geriatric Nurse Practitioner Certification Exam.
The MSN GNP degree plan is completed in 48 semester credit hours.
The Post Masters GNP Certificate degree plan is completed in 27 semester credit hours.
