Teaching and Learning Curriculum (TLC) Program

The goal of the TLC Program is to provide a formal training program for TTUHSC School of Pharmacy and affiliate PGY-1 and PGY-2 pharmacy residents to gain knowledge and to demonstrate effectiveness in the areas of teaching and scholarship.

TTUHSC School of Pharmacy and affiliate residents have the option to participate in the TLC program. A certificate of completion will be awarded to all participants who successfully complete each of the three components of the program.

Component 1: Seminars and assignments

Program participants are required to attend and participate in all formal seminars. Seminar topics include (but are not limited to): learning styles, creating a course syllabus, developing teaching cases, developing learning objectives and assessment questions, precepting students, and student professionalism.

Component 2: Teaching experience

  1. Provide two one-hour formal presentations
  2. Provide other teaching experiences (minimum 15 hours)
