The TTUHSC Strategic Plan: 2006-2009 is available to print in PDF format.

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing at Highland Lakes was established in 2004 to help with the nursing shortage in the Hill Country by offering the RN to BSN and Second Degree BSN online programs. Our graduate programs are also an option for students.

Partnerships are key to the success of our educational programs. Our school is located at the Texas Tech University teaching site in Marble Falls. Students have the opportunity to interact with a number of the faculty experts within the School of Nursing through the web-based curriculum, and the Second Degree BSN students remain in their own communities to gain clinical experience on site at our partnering health care facilities.

In 2006, Myrna Armstrong, Ph.D., R.N., FAAN, joined the Highland Lakes campus as regional dean. She has received numerous awards including the Excellence in Writing Award from the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses, the State University College of Nursing Center for Professional Development and the Sigma Theta Tau Region 3 Media Award. Armstrong's professional expertise also includes research about body art, tattooing, body piercing and branding, and web-based learning.
